At Millie's Universe, we believe preschool should be more than preparing children for kindergarten. These early years are an opportunity to build confidence, independence, communication, curiosity and a genuine love of learning. Our program provides purposeful teacher guided learning, hands-on exploration and individualized support within a warm and welcoming classroom environment.

Our preschool program supports development across all areas:
Language, Literacy & Communication
Vocabulary, listening skills, conversations, letter recognition, sounds, storytelling and early writing.
Early Math & Cognitive Development
Counting, numbers, patterns, shapes, sorting, comparing, measuring and problem-solving.
Science & Discovery
Asking questions, experimenting, observing and exploring the world around them.
Social & Emotional Development
Identifying emotions, taking turns, solving problems and developing friendships.

Our Curriculum
Millie's Universe uses the Creative Curriculum for Preschool, a research based curriculum designed to support children's development through exploration, discovery, and purposeful play.
Classroom experiences build skills across key areas including language and literacy, mathematics, science, social-emotional development, physical development, and creative arts.
Our learning experiences are also aligned with the
New York State Prekindergarten Learning Standards,
helping children build a strong foundation for kindergarten and beyond.

Our classrooms are intentionally organized to learning areas that encourage children to explore independence, work with their peers, and participate in teacher guided activities.

We intentionally value a more personal learning environment where teachers can truly get to know the children in their classroom. Classrooms do not exceed 12 children. Teachers use ongoing observations to provide meaningful learning opportunities and individualized support.

Beyond the Classroom
Children have opportunities for outdoor play, movement and community experiences, including visits to Andrew Grove Park. These experiences encourage exploration, build confidence, and help children develop a greater understanding of the world around them.
Extended Day Options
Need a longer day? Extended care is available for families who need care beyond the regular hours of a preschool day.

Need a Little Extra Time?

For families who don't need extended care every day, additional care can be added as needed for currently enrolled children, subject to availability.
